Operated by the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology and German Climate Computing Centre, The World Data Centre for Climate is the largest database in the world with 220 terabytes of data that is readily available on the internet. Add to that 110 terabytes of climate simulation data and 6 petabytes of data stored on magnetic tapes. Try to compete with that.
