What started out as merely a fun and innocent photography project with friends ended up being a book. “Switcheroo”, a self-published book from Canadian photographer Hana Pesut, explores on the reversal of gender roles in a rather funny yet interesting way.
Featured in it are fashionably dressed couples in their “before” and “after shots. “Before” shots are those that feature the couple wearing their own clothes. “After” shots are those taken after the couple has switched clothes. Both shots are taken against the same background with each person imitating the pose of his or her partner from before.
It’s a rather simple idea, really. The results, however, are quite funny. Imagine thick chest hairs peeking out of low-neckline dresses, or huge feet crammed inside very tiny shoes, or petite bodies dwarfed by over-sized coats. Check out the photos below and see for yourself.
