The sale of Mac computers at Apple’s Retail Stores has reached ever highest figure of 1.1 million. The figure is up by 25% from the same period of 2010. Another record set by the retail stores is that of hosting a record number of visitors in the quarter, 77.5 million, in comparison to 74.5 million for the same quarter of last year.
On the whole, the retail stores generated $3.6 billion of revenue. Profit turned out to be $679 million in total for the quarter, up considerably from last year.
The overall revenue of the company summed up to $28.27 billion, with a profit of $6.6 billion. Mac touched a growth rate of six times the rate of PCs in general summing up to a figure of 4.89 million.
