Viral Event
Earth Hour’s website (earthhour.org) received over 6,000 visitors back in 2008 when the event was first realized worldwide. To this day, it remains a trending topic with people all over the world participating in their own local events. For many, the event is also a rare opportunity to take pictures of big and iconic sites that would otherwise never be seen with their lights off. Examples of this are the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Kremlin in Moscow and the Empire State Building in NYC.
