There is barely any traffic on North Korean streets. This is something tourist find very curious. No many cars pass by even in the capital city. For this reason, being a professional driver is one of the best paid jobs in the country. Not only is hard to get a drivers license (due to the liberties this might bring), but getting an actual car is even harder.

Kim Ill Sung is the most important political figure in the history of North Korea. It is said that the specific socialist system they have was created by him. He is so important for North Koreans that their official calendar is based on his death, similarly to the concept of “AC”. For this reason, it should be of no surprise that the body of the diseased leader was mummified and remains in the capital to be venerated.
