4. Greece

If you’re the kind of person that just loves a simple vacation and nothing over the top, then Greece is the perfect place for you. Everything about Greece is plain and simple, be it the tavernas, the whitewashed villas, the blue seas and the simplistic architecture. Not to forget Greek food, combining tradition and health in the most simple, yet elegant, of ways.

Greece’s forte is the wonderful array of islands. A list of some of the world’s most beautiful holiday destinations would be incomplete without mentioning England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland etc. Great Britain boasts of having one of the most scenic countrysides in the world, lush green valleys, medieval castles, colonial architecture and the famous Stonehenge.

The dynamic city of London with its historical sites and the modern architecture all coming together in a fusion of traditional and modern beauty. Popular places to visit include the Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey, King’s Cross Station, Buckingham Palace etc.

France. The country of love, wine, champagne, food, art, music, theater, beaches. These are just some of the things that take France to the top of the most sought out tourist destinations in the world.

Paris is considered the world’s loveliest city and has been considered the City of Love by every romantic that ever lived. It has a huge assortment of things to offer. You can dine at the famous Maxim’s, take a tour of the Louvre museum with its Mona Lisa painting and the most elaborate collection of artworks in the world, visit Disneyland Paris, walk through the many streets of Paris for an enriching Parisian experience and of course, the beautiful and majestic Eiffel Tower can not be missed when on tour.

Apart from Paris, there is Nice with it’s exotic and beautiful beaches; the region of Champagne with its vineyards and champagne for the classy tourists. There is also the famous city of Monaco, known for its F1 track, and then of course there is the glamorous Monte Carlo with its casinos and hotels. Then there are the French Alps for the adventure lovers to hike in the summer or ski in the winter. And to top it all off, just take a drive through the countryside of the Cote d’Azur. It needs no explanation.

1. Spain

Spain has risen to the top of the most sought out holiday destinations in 2012, and for a lot of good reasons.

From the Canary Islands of La Palma and Tenerife and the Belearic Islands of Mallorca and Ibiza to the majestic city of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain is filled with culture and tradition like no other country.

You can spend your days exploring the great city of Madrid, then move on towards Sevilla for an extraordinary sky diving experience. The famous La Tomatina festival in Buñol is something you can not miss as it is an integral part of Spanish tradition. The beaches of Costa Brava with its resorts are sights to behold and a great place to have a deep sea diving experience as the sea is clean and clear and promises and enriching experience. And for those who live for the thrill, the bull run in Pamplona is the place for you where you run for your lives from a stampede of bulls bent on mangling anything that gets in their way. If it sounds dangerous, it definitely is, but that is the real thrill.

The city of Barcelona is everything Catalonia. The place is famous for its soccer club and the culture is incredible and unique.
