Nature, in itself, is already a masterpiece right before our eyes that we unfortunately take for granted more often than not. But it’s a good thing that there are exemplary people whose aim is to remind us of this beauty and one of those is Canadian artist, Aganetha Dyck.
So what exactly did she do? Aganetha literally collaborated with honeybees to produce this series of exquisite and magnificent pieces of art, which is named “Honeybee Alterations“. If you’re curious about this work, you might be interested to know that all of these are on display at the Ottawa School of Art.
Not only are all of these in line with her aim of raising environmental awareness, but it also “raises ideas about our shared vulnerability, while at the same time elevating the ordinariness of our humanity.” Simply amazing, indeed. Prepare for your mind to be blown with these stellar and stunning works of art, which will make you look at a bee’s nest in a whole new light.
