Surprise, Surprise: 3 Foods Artistically Disguised as Other Foods

What if you try cutting through a cucumber and ended up with a banana instead? That’s exactly what would happen if you get a hold of these foods, painted by Japanese artist Hikaru Cho, which were all made to trick people into thinking they’re other kinds of food.

Cho makes use of acrylic paint in creating these hyper-realistic disguises: an eggplant that’s actually just an egg, an orange that’s actually a tomato, and a cucumber that’s really a banana. And another surprising thing is the fact that Hikaru Cho is only 19 years old, so it looks like we can expect a whole lot more of hyper-realistic art from this young fine talent!
