The five teams in the running of winning $20 million are Israel’s SpaceIL, Florida-based Moon Express, India’s Team Indus, Japan’s Hakuto, and an international team known as Synergy Moon. Team SpaceIL plans to fly on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, which recently returned to flight following a launch pad accident. An Indian PSLV launcher will be shared by Team Indus and Hakuto.
