Enabling Private Browsing on iPad & iPhone with Safari in iOS 5

iOS 5  updated version of iOS operating system can enable private browsing in Safari for the iphone, ipad and ipod touch . This feature allows the user to browse the web sites without saving the records of browsing history, logins, searches, and the images normally visible by anyone who comes across the iOS device. For enabling this feature two simple and easy steps are given below:

  1. Go to the menu screen and open “settings” by tapping the icon.
  2. Entering in “Settings” menu then navigate to “Safari” and tap on it
  3. Under ‘Privacy’ slide the switch next to “Private Browsing” so that it displays “ON”

You can further adjust the Safari privacy by changing cookie behavior given in the same menu page. The Users can disable private browsing by going back to the same menu and sliding ‘ON’ to “OFF” at any time.

If the user wants to keep his or her online gift shopping or a variety of other things on the web this feature can help you a lot in this regard. This feature is very useful for maintaining user privacy neglecting the loss of the convenience for saved logins and cookies.
