Harsh History
The peculiar craters the Moon has reveal it’s harsh history. Unlike the Earth, the moon has no atmosphere or much activity in its interior. For this reason, the craters show a history of millions of years. Earth’s closest companion was submitted to an intense meteorite bombing around 4 million years ago and still suffers occasional meteor impacts. The most recent significant impact was recorded in 2013 and could have been seen from Earth.
