The Origins
It is believed the moon was created when an asterioid the size of Mars hit the Earth around 4.5 billion years ago, after the creation of the Sun and the solar system. Due to the collision a great cloud of pulverized rocks entered in orbit around Earth. In time, the cloud started to transform into small solid bodies that eventually stuck together forming the pale celestial body we know today.
