2. Controlling a Character
Scientists have discovered that we can control animals, just like video game characters. We are not sure if the society for the protection of animals would be happy with this or not, but North Carolina State University’s iBionics Lab wired the brains of a number of cockroaches resulting in probably one of the world’s most disgusting cyborg. These cockroaches can be moved around using computer with unparalleled accuracy. Scientists are hoping that these could be used to get into places which are otherwise inaccessible during a disaster. State University of New York has been applying the same concept and has come up with Robo-rats. Why go for live animals? Because it saves the manufacturing cost and surprisingly enough, the researchers have made a bold claim that these Robo-rats will be available for less than $40.
1. Extra Lives
Extra lives are the spice of video games and this seemingly impossible phenomenon might just end up being a real thing. Mark Stephen Meadows, along with many others who believe in extra lives, says this would be possible in the future. Artificial bodies which could be controlled from your home would be employed and we already have the real time data transfer methods and the possibility of turning physical and mental data into a output. So we might just be seeing this concept in the future. One Russian billionaire has already stated that he would be creating a complete holographic body by 2045. One must ask the question though; are we trying to become God?
