FaceTime is software that enables video calling. It is developed by Apple for iPhone 4. Cydia store recently reported about the jailbreak app with which users of 3Gs iPhone can enjoy FaceTime on their iPhone.
The app is FaceIt-3GS. To enable the FaceTime on previous models, this app does a little bit of tweaking with the default settings of iPhone. This application requires a jailbroken phone to operate. After jailbreaking the phone, follow these simple steps to install FaceIt-3GS on your iPhone.
- Open the Cydia and go to Manage > Sources > Edit > Add. Add the (http://apps.iphoneislam.com) in repository.
- Now press the Search button to find FaceIt-3GS.
- From the list displayed, click on FaceIt-3GS and install it.
- Restart your iPhone.
- Go to Settings > Phone and turn the option of FaceTime on.
From now onwards, you will be able to enjoy the FaceTime on 3GS iPhone. Although due to lack of front camera, you may not get its full functionality as in iPhone 4, however it is an amazing alternative for voice calling.
