Slated for release just before the end of the world, The Hobbit sees the cast of the Lord of the Rings trilogy reunite as the film follows Bilbo Baggins in his quest to reclaim a lost dwarf kingdom. Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, Christopher Lee, and Orlando Bloom return for this prequel, whose other installment appears a year later.

No 1. The Dark Knight Rises

Everything comes to an end and sadly, good things end too. This third and final installment in Christopher Nolan’s Batman series, The Dark Knight Rises, brings us to Gotham City eight years after the events of The Dark Knight. The film sees terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to their limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent’s crimes.
