Japan’s Life Expectancy
Japan has the higthest life expectancy in the world. This is 86 years for women and 79 years for men. Within the country, the higthest expectancy rate belongs to Okinawa island. Furthermore, 21% of the Japanese population is over 65 years old. This makes Japan the country with the most quantity of elderly people. On the other hand, it is expected that by the year 2050 the population will go down from 130 million to 95 million habitants.
