Life-changing decisions are just the hardest to make. Will you buy the house or take the money and start your own firm like you really want to? Will you move the stay in you home country or move to Los Angeles to fulfill your dreams? I’m sure when we were faced with decisions like these, they took more than a day to decide.
For this story, you might find yourself questioning whether it is a true story or not, but let me say from now that it is 100% true. A 90-year-old woman was faced with a decision to choose between doing chemotheraphy to treat her cancer or going on a road trip with her family. She chose to go ahead and live her dream with the latter. This is he remarkable story of a Michigan woman named Norma.
Soon after her husband of 67 years, Leo, passed away in July of 2015, Norma was diagnosed with uterine cancer. When she was informed of her possibilities for treatment by her doctor, Norma turned down the options available and instead decided to go with doing the unexpected.
“I’m 90-years-old, I’m hitting the road”, she said.
That is exactly what Norma did and from the photos we can all see that she has been having the time of her life. Joining her were her son and his wife, and they have traveled all over the United States with no intention of stopping anytime soon. Check out the inspiring journey on the Facebook that was dedicated to her called ‘Driving Miss Norma’.
