The Forbidden City is another site that have been designated World Heritage by UNESCO. Visiting this site is essentially traveling to the past, as it remains just like it was centuries ago. This city was once closed for 500 years but it is now open to the public and, what was once forbidden, has now become one of the top places to visit for people around the world.
