In this video Richard “Mack” Machowicz tests the power of the Mk48 versus the Mk46 machine gun at the training center in Fredericksburg in Virginia. Both weapons are much lighter than the M2, 0.5 inch caliber. The Mk48 uses rounds of 7.62mm, the Mk46 uses 5.56mm. Both guns are manufactured at FN Herstal in Belgium for special operations forces.
