Around The World

Some countries with low Christian population still celebrate Easter in many ways. One good example of this is India. They celebrate with big carnivals and exchange colorful lanterns with each other. Meanwhile, French kids receive easter eggs from bells instead of bunnies. The curious myth explains that bells grow wings during Easter week and fly to Vatican City to kiss the Pope, the bells would then return with sweets for the kids. Italy itself has their own special festivities like the Explosion of the Cart. This event consist of blowing up an old cart with fireworks as a sign of peace during the rest of the year.
