All plants have three basic requirements i.e water, air and sunlight, to survive. For house plants, in most cases, water and air is available but there is a deficiency of sunlight. Belgian sculptor Stephen Verstraete has came up with a perfect solution to this problem. He has made a robot on which a plant can be mounted and then this robot searches for sunlight in your house, so that your plant gets adequate amount of it.
The idea is simple, yet amazing. He used a recycled toy car and on it installed a couple of ICs, a light sensitive photo transistor and some other parts to make this robot. The total cost for this robot was just $10, which is pretty cheap! In fact, in future, if a company takes on this idea, they can launch it with even lower price.
