This is big news for all gizmo fanatics! Researchers at Ghent University have now developed a curved LCD display which uses the entire surface of the eye lens, that means you can recieve text messages right in front of your eyes without even looking at your phone.
The chief researcher at the project, Jelle De Smet says “This will never replace the cinema screen for films. But for specific applications it may be interesting to show images such as road directions or projecting text messages from our smartphones straight to our eye.” This is the start of the contact lenses display technology and the possibilities could be endless.The same technology could be used in future to create virtual worlds right in front of your eyes via contact lense displays.
