The World’s Most Valuable Guitar Is Embedded With Over 400-Carat White Diamonds

What does jewellery and a diamond encrusted guitar have in common? A hefty cost ofcourse! While you would call seeing a guitar being displayed at a jewellery show ‘weird’, the coordinators of the Baselworld Watch and Jewelry Show thought this was a brilliant idea as they unveiled the world most valuable guitar valued at US$2 million. The Gibson-made guitar which comes detailed in diamonds was created in collaboration with Coronet and is called the Eden of Coronet.

Thanks to the fact that the guitar is embedded with over 400 carat white diamonds embedded into the design, the Eden of Coronet has been officially verified as being the world’s most valuable guitar. It also has 1.6kg of 18k gold and is said to be the first coaction between guitar makers Gibson and jewellery designer Coronet.

The guitar features two humbucking pickups that are covered along with chrome hardware and on the right of the neck pick up there is the Mark Lui Design Works nameplate along with a Coronet plate. The Eden of Coronet is built with a three way pick-up selector, with the instrument jack being seen, and the volume knobs along with the two tone knobs being hidden away under the diamonds. The instrument is much more than just a stunning piece of glam though as it is operable.

After requiring more than 700 days of work from a team comprise of 68 people, being confirmed as the most valuable in the world by the Guinness World Records at the Baselworld event is just the right reward. Announcing that it was “definitely an important milestone for what we target to achieve,” the CEO of Gibson shared that the diamond encrusted guitar is a masterpiece.
