Cigarette Carpet Made From Half A Million Cigarettes

Now this is something that will leave you starstruck. Yes! A Chinese artist Xu Bing made a carpet out of half a million cigarettes. And its a marvel to see. He purely used cigarettes and their colours to make a beautiful combination. The whole project holds a certain aim as well. According to Xu Bing, it is a criticism over tobacco industries who are just selling cancer in the form of smoke.

Anyhow the carpet looks amazingly awesome on its completion. And yes, the art of creation will convince you to admire the artist’s skill and motivation. The concept itself  is an outstanding innovation. I wonder how much pain smokers had felt watching half a million cigarette laid on floor.Check out the gallery below:

Online Map Pinpoints Cigarette Factories

Stanford anthropologist Matthew Kohrman has plotted the international whereabouts of more than 300 cigarette factories, so far. His Cigarette Citadels project gives the public a better understanding of where the tobacco industry operates, and shares information that could combat the single largest cause of preventable death.
