Outfit Designs Made from Paper Won’t Leave You Feeling Naked

The models in these pics are wearing nothing but paper.

A group of students from Estonian Academy of Arts designed these outfits under the instructions of designer Ilison, they were limited to using paper from the sponsoring company, Antalis, though they had free reign over colors and forms. 12 best outfits were chosen from 24 participators, with each outfit represents a different month.

January’s design embraces multiple circular sections with cut outs. For the second, long tubes crossed the body to form a sculptural costume while shorter rolls were piled up to make the headwear. Spring, floral shapes garlanded outfits and, July’s saw the material edged in red. Colors became more solemn on the autumnal garments; mainly the anthology of brown shapes built up around the body and reaching over the head giving the sensation of fall. For December strips of colorful ribbon making their way from the shoulders and gradually curling up at the end, with some tied in a bow at the neck.
