45 Award Winning Mind Blowing Photographs of The Decade Next 4 February, 2013 13 Comments Here are some of the most amazing award winning photographs of the decade. Even if you have a hefty wallet full of credit cards and money, not everyone can experience these moments in real life. Comments Johanne February 6, 2013 / Reply I love photography and while most of these are absolutely special, some do not qualify as they have been enhanced by programs Leslie Fuquinay Miller February 6, 2013 / Reply Enhanced by programs? So it doesn’t qualify as photography? Johanne, you’re thinking of photojournalism, not art. But prints and photos are ALWAYS enhanced by something, analog or digital. My complaint is that this piece doesn’t include the artists’ names. Michael Hiller February 6, 2013 / Reply Really love the photography thanks Phil Scitt February 6, 2013 / Reply Personally I wouldn’t say these are either mind blowing or photos of the decade, there are a few which stand out and are amazing achievements of time and dedication to get a shot though Lowe February 6, 2013 / Reply in what way does the picture of the pencils qualify as mind-blowing? its sub-standard at best. the rest are fantastic Maximus February 15, 2013 / Reply These pictures are truly awesome. Now, a picture is worth a 1000 words… yet I’d really rather have ~1015 words (where are the captions?! >_< ). Suzanne March 17, 2013 / Reply I love the humour of the photographers by the field picture. It got me fooled for a few seconds! But I like the picture of the elks in the water with the burning hill in the background. Has a lot to tell. Also love the cute chipmonk on his corn cub.. James March 17, 2013 / Reply Some of these shots are way over-edited. As an Alaskan amateur photographer, I prefer the raw and natural form of photography, not the over-edited “Light Room” version of photography. ferne harasimiw March 17, 2013 / Reply Not everyone can photograph simple everyday things. The pencil shot makes you look and that is very artistic and appealing to our eye. Every pic here makes you take time to look at it. Exactly what we are looking for. Great collection. Gary April 8, 2013 / Reply Some are very good but to call some photographs is very wrong. They should be in the graphic design category. Not saying even the heavily altered ones aren’t pretty but a photo use to be a moment in time frozen and some of these most definitely are not that. Its sad that actual photographers who know how to get the shot in the field with the camera have to be compared and lumped in with people who are just really good on the computer and design, two very different art forms. I love outdoor photography and I surly didn’t get into it so I could be on the computer more 🙂 anonymous April 20, 2013 / Reply I don’t know much about editing.. can someone explain which of these pictures have been edited and explain how you knew. Torres May 25, 2013 / Reply I must agree with the comment about the pencils. I have taken better pictures with my front facing tablet camera riding on the back of a motorbike, in the rain, at night (ok, overkill, but you get my drift). It’s one I would almost certainly have deleted. The rest are mostly very cool. As for the “enhanced by programs” moronic comment. ALL digital photography is enhanced. It’s “art”, not life. suba suba June 11, 2020 / Reply Yay google is my world beater helped me to find this great internet site !. Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
