Everybody that once had to microwave their left over pizza knows that it tastes far from as delicious as when it was just baked. It becomes chewy, its crust becomes soggy and the toppings become overcooked, therefore severely dampening your eating enjoyment. This specially-designed pan is just what we need when we have no oven to turn to.
The Reheatza allows you to microwave your pizza without the results being soggy and chewy. All you have to do is to simply place your leftover slices inside the Reheatza container, put the cover on, place the assembly inside the microwave, and cook it on high for about two minutes. When this is finished, the pizza is left sporting a crispy crust and moist toppings, just like it was reheated inside a toaster oven.
The pan is able to achieve this sorcery as it absorbs the heat rays of the microwave while its lid blocks them. The heat is therefore able to come through the pan and toast the crust with the microwaves, leaving the toppings mostly untouched and just reheated by the radiant heat generated from the bottom component. The mechanism of the Reheatza allows you to even go ahead and take on other cooking tasks. It is said to be able to pump out around 350 degrees Fahrenheit with the microwave on high. You can then use the same cookware to make grilled cheese, breakfast sandwiches, sunny-side up fried eggs, and even meat dishes using just a microwave oven.
The Reheatza is currently being exhibited on Kickstarter. Pledges to reserve a unit starts at $36.
