Nowadays, the structure of refrigerators are changing as the newest models are built with second doors, who’s to say that they will not one day go on to serving as a full-fledged arcade cabinet with the fridge door. As we wait for those changes to happen, we could still do a little something more with our fridge in the meantime, like make it look like a giant GameBoy with a magnet set called Freezerboy.
While it won’t quite transform your fridge into the playable, large-screen Gameboy, you can still satisfy your retro-gaming pleasure with the supersized lookalike as it will always have you reminiscing. Also, which would you prefer? Staring at an empty metal surface or getting creative as you imagine 8-bit Zelda graphics popping up on the green LCD screen?
Each piece of the Freezerboy is designed to replicate an element of the classic handheld console. The six pieces of the magnet set include the D-pad, the four buttons, and the LCD all scaled up in size, with the screen measuring a large 16 x 12 inches. When you are ready, you can simply still place the magnets onto your refrigerator and easily remove them without leaving marks on the surface of the door, like a regular magnet.
The refrigerator is also not the only surface that the Freezerboy magnets have to go on but pretty much any metallic surface such as the washing machine, your file cabinet, or even the front gate if you wish to turn it into a Gameboy for your personal amusement.
The Freezerboy is available for purchase at a cost of $19.99.
