Regrettably, it is very common to miss a call while your iPhone is in your pocket. The reason behind this is the combination of the iPhone’s comparatively quiet speaker and the fact that users don’t always keep their ringer volume at the maximum. This happens even more often when one is in a loud and crowded setting.
Nonetheless, Developer Nick Dawson aims to finish this problem for jailbreakers with his new tweak called PocketMode, which uses the iPhone’s built-in ambient light sensor to conclude whether it should ring louder.
An interesting feature of PocketMode is its Night Mode, which lets the user to set what times PocketMode should not make the ringer volume louder, since the ambient light sensor would detect the darkness at night and cause the iPhone to ring louder elsewise.
