NihilisticSliceshow November 14, 2010 / Reply Why would people be against hunting as long as the animals being hunted are not endangered, killed humanely & with respect, and their body is utilized (food)? I am vegan and see nothing wrong with hunting. My dad loves hunting and fishing, but respects nature…with him, it is almost a spiritual, one-with-nature feeling when he gets an animal. NihilisticSliceshow November 14, 2010 / Reply love this. i just got done watching a “ted bear” video and it reminded me of this song. kelckeri November 14, 2010 / Reply @pixieofdark I was not sterotyping, I said “many people”. Many is not all or absolute. I know there are some not fitting to my commnet that like Ted and I think that is great. To each his own…. pixieofdark November 14, 2010 / Reply @kelckeri Proud homosexual and I love this song! Not everyone fits into your stereotype. My whole family are hunters, sexuality has nothing to do with it. I promise. People from all walks of life appreciate Ted for the same reason you mention above, “he is a loud and effective voice for sportsman’s rights”. om3gadagg3r November 14, 2010 / Reply @brandonwalker58 WTF language is this? brandonwalker58 November 14, 2010 / Reply @om3gadagg3r what ever you must reject duh u fuck listen the song , poor thing!!!!!!!!!!! om3gadagg3r November 14, 2010 / Reply @pacattack05 LOL alot of them get donated to local butcher shops that donate their labor to process the meat and give it to local food banks. All in all not a bad way to manage resources IMO. pacattack05 November 14, 2010 / Reply @om3gadagg3r It ain’t too healthy for the dead deer…..lol om3gadagg3r November 14, 2010 / Reply @pacattack05 There are places like where I live where in the winter we can see weeks or months of below zero temps. Deer are competing for food to keep warm and stay alive. Thinning the population to a healthy herd allows more deer get strong enough in the spring and summer to survive the winter. There are those that hunt for sport or trophys but in the end as long as a harvest quota is maintained, it is healthy for the herd. pacattack05 November 14, 2010 / Reply @om3gadagg3r I understand that deer can kill with car accidents, but there has to be another way to capture them other than shooting them. TheFred882 November 14, 2010 / Reply Freeeeed das is mein song :DDD om3gadagg3r November 14, 2010 / Reply @pacattack05 Read up on DMU’s (deer management units) like we have in Northern Michigan. Thinning the deer heard is not at all for “entertainment”. Hunting=Conservation. ?† pacattack05 November 14, 2010 / Reply He was good but his songs ran a short shelf life for me. Maybe because the stations played cta scratch fever and stranglehold to death. I do however, feel that animals should only be killed for survival purposes, not entertainment. I’m not a tree hugging freak, but I feel anything we do as humans, we must really think about how going against the grain will affect us. If it’s not natural, then something along the way will have to give. To me, humans are out of control. Bullseye, BANG ! 🙁 MrGardman November 14, 2010 / Reply Great song. No one compares to Nugent. dave13hunter November 14, 2010 / Reply Always play this song when I’m heading out to go hunting. I miss my hunting partners from the past who are not able to be with me. Reminds me of them and the good times in the woods. The spirit of the woods moves through me. God I love it out there drewandsara2013 November 14, 2010 / Reply This song has always given me goosebumps. I like to play it before I go out bowhuntin for some inspiration 🙂 MegaBuck10 November 14, 2010 / Reply i rember hunting with my pop back in the mid 60″s, he always talked about fred bear & howard hill, and what great bow hunters they where, and whene i here ted sing this song, whene he says walking down trails again, it reminds me of me and my pop walking down the trail to are ol wooden tree stands, now me and my son walk the same trail, and you can still see ol 2 by 4″s hanging in my pops tree, where the hell did all them yrs go, ( R.I.P.
