Minister, Armed Forces, Adam Ingram MP views aspects of training of 3 Cdo Bde RM during their preparation to Herrick 5.The facility took place at Westdown Camp during mission rehearsal Exercise Southern Raider. Ex SOUTHERN RAIDER is a Force Mission Rehearsal Exercise (MRX) in preparation for the impending deployment of 3 Commando Brigade Royal Marines to Afghanistan (Op HERRICK). It will focus on Force Elms deploying as part of the HELMAND Task Force (HTF) and supporting units The MRX is being conducted over the period 17-29 Jul 06 and will utilise UK training areas on DARTMOOR, SENNYBRIDGE (SENTA), CAERWENT and SALISBURY PLAIN (SPTA). The exercise will be set in the context of COIN Ops in a multi-national and multi-agency environment.
