This guide is useful if you have the following problem
1. You are running Vista or Windows 7 on a Macbook using bootcamp. It can be unibody/ Macbook Pro 13/ Macbook Pro 15 or any other screen size.
2. In windows device manger, you see missing driver for Coprocessor
3. Optionally, You have no audio/ sound. In macbook pro, you may also see a red light in your audio jack.
Well first thing first: This problem is not related with sound. To fix sound/ audio you should see my earlier post
MacBook Pro No Sound in Windows 7
Secondly, you should always have the latest version of boot camp installed. But many people reported this problem even when they had lastest boot camp drivers installed. Well, worry not because you are about to fix it.
Steps to Follow:
Step 1: Locate the nVidia model. You will find it on your macbook box or on apple website. Unfortunately, nVidia automatic card detection tool on the website does not suport windows 7.
Step 2: Download original driver from nvidia website here.
Step 3: Install.
Alternatively if you are using Windows 7, use device manager to detect the driver online. Windows 7 finds the right driver itself.
After installation, go to Device Manger and you will see the co-processor installed. Enjoy your Mac!

Are you using Windows 7 or Vista? In Windows 7, the key is that you uninstall the original driver and the do the “Autodetect”. Also tell me which macbook you are using. That will help me narrow things for you
Sorry for the delay on getting back doing this in between work. Answers using OS Win 7 64 bit loaded from original cd. I currently have the SM Bus controller driver missing or not installed….Coprocessor driver missing or not installed and blue tooth peripheral driver missing or not installed. Using update it indicates it can not find any driver. I a using Mac OS 10.6.3 – 13″ Macbookpro 7.1 core 2 duo 2.66 GHz,p8800 4 gig ram 1066 MGz L2 Cache Boot camp 3 . I work out of the country and using bootcamp 3 loaded the win7 ultimate 64 bit version then afterwards realized I didn’t have my mac cd disks with me but managed to get almost all the drivers rounded except those indicated above…….I installed the latest nvidia drivers for win 7 64 bit but i guess these others didnt install correctly……..
Nice to know that you have solved the Co-processor problem using the guide. For SM Bus Controller See this guide http://realitypod.com/2010/09/solved-macbook-pro-running-windows-7-missing-sm-bus-driver/ If you have any problems, let me know
