That clearly is impossible and not real or every will be real. Nokia and a couple other companys made a clear lcd screen, but a whole phone no not gonna happen. A phone is more then just a screen it has circut boards batterys, and many other componet that can not be made clear. This is just photo shop. This is just a tabliod websight. Think before you beleave somthing just cause theres a neat picture dosent mean any thing.

One word. Why?

I can't remember where I put my current phone down sometimes - good luck finding this one when you don't have someone to call it!!!

A (conceptual) solution in search of a problem.

Were this an concept iPhone all the haters out there would be all moist and bothered and twitching and throbbing. But, because it's MSFT involved then OF COURSE it's a bunch of crap. Child please.

Get honest, and recognize that technology advances at an exponential rate. Computers no longer occupy whole rooms, and cell phones are no longer the size of a brick. Oh yeah, and humans can fly using those crazy devices known as "airplanes." And travel faster than the speed of sound. And go to the moon.

Someone probably said so already, but even if it were real, who wants a transparent phone? If the image shows on the other side, then people can read your texts and stuff (avoidable). Even though that can be changed, the problem of fingerprints will be there.

Hasn't anybody here heard of Tesla? Wireless electricity is possible, large-scale data transmissions are possible wirelessly. Now Microsoft is redefining MICRO processor and printing circuits so small they are invisible to the naked eye. Have you ever held up a strand of hair? Without the most optimal lighting conditions it is nearly impossible to see. It is entirely possible, and very likely that this prototype will be available to the general public very soon.
