haha is mac actually making fun of lack of windows apps in that second ad?? talk about the pot calling the kettle black! Mac is just a linux kernel with a price tag. and lets face it linux is not ready for mainstream use even ubuntu. the features of the open source apps are seriously lacking (dont get me wrong they are making great progress and soon we will have something awesome) but when the awesomeness arrives u can bet your ass that mac will be there to swoop in and claim compatibility with windows apps. windows has games and almost any software that mac has except for a few. mac has a huge price tag and little upgrade ability lets see a mac running quad SLIs with 24 processors. even if it does.. which game would you test with it?

It’s just like they say, Mac is “creative and juvenile”. Very popular among my female college and high-school friends. But if you really like computers, modding, gaming, upgrading, etc. The PC is the choice for you. You can’t assemble your own Mac at home, you can only buy a standard retail version at the store, and one with a hideous look. I sure hell haven’t seen a Mac assembled on a Thermaltake case with water cooling system and neons.
No self respecting tech-guy would even consider buying a Mac instead of a PC. It’s like buying a Smart Car instead of a tuned Mustang.

I have a Windows pc and rely on it for games and such, plus I built her myself so I know what bits need to be upgraded and when.
I need a mac though coz Win.pc’s SUCK for video editing as we rely on heavily expensive Adobe products when we could be using the nifty Final Cut Pro for Mac. In general, digital animation and editing are the only reasons why I’d own a mac…but I need my Windows for gaming. Pure and simple.

I used Macs when I did 3D animation using Maya and they sucked big time. So slow. We also had a pet name for the video editing software, Final Cunt Pro.
I think pc is much more versatile than mac. I guess mac only caters to those doing designing stuff or something along that line, lol. I always see design students carrying it.

power pc mac is great much faster and relable and can run apps from windows becuse i made a custom version of darwine and wont get virus or driver or dll problems
Since macs started using intel they havn’t been bad, but they are still more expensive, you basically paying an extra 50% for a little chip that allows the machine to run OSX and I don’t know who would want to actually pay good money to use it. Heck i’d rather have all my teeth removed through my anus with a rusty nail than go near OSX.
Home users and for light business applications go with pc, rest choose mac, if pc is a family car mac is a sport car, you pay more you get more, whats the discussion?

I would say the new Win 7 is as good as if not better than Mac. But, it’s my personal preference and depend on what use them for.

Apple products are great…if you don’t know what you are doing.
Even the most tech-savy tech guy is vulnerable to the zombification and glamorisation of cultures. Sure, PC have hiccups and stability issues, but if you’re a complex & sophisticated consumer, it is normal to face such hurdles. you know..with great power comes great responsibilities..by studying and understanding more what is it that you REALLY want/need. It’s a never-ending learning process; with MAC, you practically stop learning and just being a mindless consumer. i found out for the sake of useability/user friendly experience (which really appeals to those BLONDE-type culture-feeding zombies that falls prey easily to superficial outer looks), Apple had cut some ugly corners, and by not letting me get noticed, for the sake of keeping themselves looking cool/beautiful. NOT COOL.
Macs look glossy and perform great but PC can too. Mac just lacks what PC can do. This is why Mac users get the OS of windows and put it on their Mac.
Now let’s see. An average Mac’s prize normally twice of a PC with better hardwares. It’s just doesn’t worth it. Not to mention that Mac OS is NOT better than Windows. It suffers from a lot of mistakes of the design and it’s stability is similar to Windows – somebody can use it for years without problems while others brake it in a moment.
And no, Mac OS is not a Linux kernel. Mac OS has it’s basics on UNIX while Linux is LIKE UNIX. Linux is an open source free OS, Mac OS is a closed-source trading OS.
Before Win7 macs were better for work. Now with win7 they are not better for anything. Just toys for people who have too much money, and like bright colors…
